Students Say Host Sexually Assaulted Them

VANCOUVER, B.C. (CN)  – Three Canadian students sued California-based International Student Volunteers , two of them claiming they were sexually assaulted by a member of the family they were assigned to stay with in Ecuador.     The students – two women and a man – say they paid more than $4,000 for the Spanish-language and cultural program, and that one of their hosts “committed an indecent sexual act” on both women. All three say they were expelled from the program after filing a police report. The claim International Student Volunteers refused to refund their money, alleging that they “had been involved in ‘loud sexual activity.’” The students are represented by Douglas Morley.
