Talent agency liable for Weinstein assault

MANHATTAN — A New York appellate court held that actress Julia Ormond sufficiently pleaded allegations that Harvey Weinstein and her talent agency Creative Artists Agency were responsible for her sexual assault. The agency was aware of Weinstein’s prior behavior of sexual harassment and assault, but did not warn or protect the actress from his behavior.
