Uber sex assault claims stay consolidated

SAN FRANCISCO — Uber did not secure a writ of mandamus from the Ninth Circuit, which upheld the Judicial Panel on Multidistrict Litigation’s order consolidating riders’ sexual assault claims against Uber for the alleged behavior of drivers who work for the rideshare app. The appellate panel found no error abuse of discretion in ordering the cases be consolidated together, as the cases shared questions of fact.
