Utah Shooting Victim's Parents Lose Bid To Speak

DENVER (CN) – The **10th Circuit has refused to let the parents of a woman killed in a shooting rampage at Utah’s Trolley Square mall speak at the sentencing of the man who sold a handgun to the teenage killer.     **Ken and Sue Antrobus of Cincinnati, the parents of victim Vanessa Quinn, asked the court to let them appear at the sentencing of Mackenzie Glade Hunter, 20, who sold a .38-caliber Smith & Wesson to shooter Sulejman Talovic, a minor at the time of sale. The couple wants to urge U.S. District Judge Dale Kimball to impose a stiff 99-month prison sentence at Hunter’s hearing on Monday.      On Feb. 12, Talovic entered the shopping center and shot nine people, killing five, before dying in a shootout with police.      The court ruled that Quinn was not technically a victim of the illegal sale.
