<span style="font-weight: 400;">The 11th Circuit <a href="http://www.courthousenews.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/10/utilities.pdf"><strong>remanded</strong></a> a dispute brought by the NAACP against the city of LaGrange, Georgia, relating to its requirement that customers satisfy outstanding municipal debts, present a state or federally issued, and have a Social Security number in order to acquire utility services. </span>

LaGRANGE, Ga. – The 11th Circuit revived the NAACP’s lawsuit against the city of LaGrange, Georgia, relating to its policy of denying utility services to customers who cannot present a state or federally issued photo ID and Social Security number, as well as satisfy outstanding municipal debts.
