Videoconference sentence

MANHATTAN — The Second Circuit upheld the sentencing that occurred via videoconference of a defendant whose conduct was described by the trial court as “in keeping with the villain in a James Bond movie.” The court found the defendant voluntarily consented to proceeding by videoconference, and delaying his sentencing by requiring his physical presence would “harm the interests of justice.”
