(CN) – The winter storm that killed 23 people in the Midwest and Great Plains this week also shuttered courts in Dallas and Louisville and in seven Ohio counties from Cincinnati north to Cleveland. The storm blew through New England on Wednesday and is gone to sea, but more than 1 million homes and businesses remain without power in the central United States.
